We are recruiting Face to Face Adults’ Sessional Counsellors and Face to Face Children’s Sessional Counsellors.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and caring team providing face to face counselling and therapy to adults, children and young people experiencing the after effects of sexual abuse and their supporters.  Our therapists are well supported by experienced line managers, administrators and Designated Safeguarding Leads.

  • Job Role:  Adult & Child specialist sessional Counsellors
  • Reporting To: A Designated Clinical Assessment and Services Manager
  • Attendance: Between 5 to 15 counselling sessions per week, subject to demand, up to 5 sessions per day.  Work will be within office hours, is flexible and can be mutually agreed.
  • Case Load: You will have a caseload of between 5 – 15, sessions per week subject to demand, times are flexible and mutually agreed.
  • Location:  Counselling venues in Nuneaton, Bedworth, Coventry and Rugby or online where required, areas of work will be mutually agreed
  • Remuneration:  £40 per session plus £30 per month contribution to Clinical Supervision.  Invitations to free CPD events throughout the year. Fuel and Parking Allowance  This post is on a self-employed basis and subject to continuation of funding and demand for the service.

The successful candidate will hold an appropriate counselling or arts therapy qualification and be able to work with adults and children.  We welcome candidates with online/telephone counselling qualification and/or experience.  Successful applicants will be required to attend our externally accredited training programme ‘Working with Survivors of Sexual Abuse’.

Candidates will work to high ethical and professional standards that align with BACP best practice guidelines.  They will maintain the standards and reputation of the charity and deliver the outcomes outlined by our funders.
