Safeline Achieves Cyber Essentials Plus Accreditation

At Safeline, protecting the personal information of our clients, supporters, and partners is one of our top priorities.

At Safeline, protecting the personal information of our clients, supporters, and partners is one of our top priorities. That’s why we are proud to share that we have achieved the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation, a Government-backed certification that ensures we are protected against the most common cyber threats.

This accreditation reflects our commitment to providing a secure and trusted environment for everyone who relies on our services. It also strengthens our ability to continue delivering life-changing support to survivors of sexual abuse and rape, knowing their information is handled with the utmost care.

Why This Matters to Safeline

Every day, we work with survivors who share deeply personal and sensitive information with us. Achieving Cyber Essentials Plus provides an additional layer of assurance that their data is safe and that our systems meet the highest standards of cyber security.

Cyber Essentials Plus goes beyond basic certification, involving independent technical testing to validate our protections. This rigorous process ensures that our organisation is prepared to withstand potential cyber threats, safeguarding both our operations and the people we support.

Led and Supported by SRD Technologies

This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the expert guidance of SRD Technologies, who supported us through the entire accreditation process. Their expertise helped us strengthen essential controls, including:

  • Firewalls to block unauthorised access.
  • Secure configurations to reduce system vulnerabilities.
  • User access control to ensure only authorised individuals can access sensitive data.
  • Malware protection to detect and stop malicious software.
  • Security update management to ensure all software remains up to date and secure.

Thanks to their partnership, we’ve not only achieved Cyber Essentials Plus but also enhanced our overall approach to digital safety.

What This Means for Safeline

This accreditation reinforces our commitment to:

  • Safety: Ensuring the confidentiality of every survivor who trusts us with their story.
  • Resilience: Protecting our systems from potential disruptions.
  • Trust: Providing confidence to our clients, supporters, and partners that we take their data security seriously.

Statistics show that organisations with Cyber Essentials controls in place experience 92% fewer cyber incidents. By meeting this standard, we’re ensuring that Safeline remains a safe and secure space for survivors and their families.

Moving Forward

Achieving Cyber Essentials Plus is just the beginning. Cyber security is an ongoing process, and we are committed to continually improving our systems and practices to adapt to new challenges.

We’re incredibly grateful to SRD Technology UK for their support, as well as to our team, whose dedication made this achievement possible. Together, we are ensuring that Safeline remains a safe, trusted, and effective service for everyone who needs us.
