Hold onto your hats! Warwick District Councillor Rebecca Noonan is preparing for an awe-inspiring 30-week 30 daring challenges fundraiser to celebrate Safeline’s 30th anniversary.

This anniversary is not just a celebration; it’s an opportunity for all of us to contribute to the wellbeing and safety of the community and help transform the lives of people impacted by sexual abuse and rape.

Becky’s Personal Pledge: A Sobering Start

The fundraiser for Rebecca begins on January 1st with a motivating 30-day sobriety challenge (no alcohol, fizzy drinks, or caffeine). This sets the scene for a series of fun, scary, whacky, creative, and impactful challenges aimed at raising awareness and funds for Safeline.

From a 30k walk around Warwickshire to a whimsical week adorned in a banana costume, every challenge aims to uplift, inspire, and bring attention to the life-saving work of Safeline.

Reflecting on her support for Safeline, Rebecca shared, “I have been working with Safeline through my company as our sponsored charity for 8 years now. Over the years I have attended and volunteered for many events, always posting these on my socials and inviting friends along.”

Consequently, I have had friends come forward and open up about sexual abuse they unfortunately experience and turned to Safeline for support. Whether that’s been through counselling, ISVA services (going through the courts) or just by believing in them.”

“The power we have to change someone’s life by just showing our support will always be my drive for working with this fantastic local charity, so when they asked if I wanted to do something big for their 30th anniversary… I said let’s go bigger.”
