Prevention and Early Intervention Children and Young People’s Coordinator

Job Description

The scale of Child Sexual Abuse in England and Wales is truly staggering. Children make up only 20% of the population but are the victims in 40% of all sexual offences. Its impact is devastating and long-lasting.

Safeline has been delivering effective Prevention and Early Intervention services to thousands of children and young people for over 15 years. The risks are growing and we need to respond. To help us successfully address the many challenges children and young people face, we want to strengthen our team by recruiting an experienced, motivated, coordinator to deliver meaningful support to the young people in need.

    Prevention and Early Intervention

  • Contract

    Contract: Full-Time 37.5 hours per week, 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. (some evening work may be required).

  • Annual Leave

    25 days FTE paid holiday + public holidays (pro-rata). A birthday concessionary day + incremental annual leave with length of service.

  • Pension

    Matched contribution pension schemes up to 5% of gross salary.

Support vulnerable young people professionally and sensitively, helping them build knowledge, confidence and protection from abuse.

Deliver prevention and early interventions programmes, ensuring incidents are managed professionally and standards are maintained.

Ensure staff and partners follow safeguarding, child protection, risk assessment and health and safety requirements.

Gather statistical and observational evidence to demonstrate need, impact and value to clients, stakeholders and funders.
