Training for supporting survivors of sexual abuse and sexual harms
Professionals working with survivors of sexual abuse and sexual harm require the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to provide safe, effective and trauma-informed support. The workshop was useful, informative and thorough. Some of it was hard to watch as it's sad to see what victims go through and that there are companies that neglect their responsibility to respond appropriately to sexual harassment. The film that was based on a real case was helpful to view but again difficult to watch as I felt she was dismissed and not believed from the outset, there was clear victim blaming going on.
