Why This Training is Essential

Workplace investigations are often complex.  How they are handled can have a lasting impact on individuals, teams and organisational culture.

As a specialist sexual abuse charity, delivering investigation training across the UK, we bring extensive expertise in trauma and its impact. While not all investigations involve sexual misconduct, most involve sensitive, personal or distressing experiences.   A trauma‑informed, victim‑focused approach is therefore essential to ensure:

  • Fairness and dignity for all parties
  • Consistency and objectivity
  • Legal compliance and defensible outcomes

Workplace investigations must align with key UK legal and best‑practice frameworks, including:

In addition, principles derived from human rights law, including the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), reinforce the expectation that serious allegations are investigated by individuals who are appropriately trained, impartial and competent.

There was lots of opportunity to discuss and clarify understanding.

The importance and the impact of proper investigation was clear, really appreciate the session

Reduce Risk. Ensure Fairness. Meet Your Responsibilities.

Poorly handled workplace investigations can expose organisations to legal, reputational and cultural harm.

This training supports compliance with the Equality Act 2010, the ACAS Code of Practice, and established principles of fairness and impartiality, helping ensure investigations are lawful, defensible and trauma‑informed.
