Safeline is partnering with Melissa’s Melting Pot, Warwick District Council and Stratford-upon-Avon District Council to offer a series of free glass art workshops for adult survivors of sexual abuse living in the two districts.

We know that talking about experiences of sexual abuse isn’t always easy. Creative activities can offer a different way to express emotions, build confidence, and support recovery. These workshops provide a welcoming, supportive environment where you can explore glass art at your own pace.

The sessions will be led by a qualified art therapist and supported by Safeline staff.

No artistic experience is needed.

What to Expect

During the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Create a piece of glass artwork for use in a showcase across Warwick and Stratford Districts for Sexual Violence Awareness Week
  • Take part in a supportive and trauma-informed activity
  • Meet others with shared experiences, if you choose to
  • Explore creativity in a safe and welcoming space
  • Access information about support services if needed

There is no expectation to share personal experiences. You can engage in whatever way feels comfortable for you.

Why Glass?

Glass can look fragile, but when individual pieces are brought together and fused, they become stronger. Through this project, participants will create a piece of artwork that reflects their own creativity, experiences, and strengths.

Who Can Attend?

The workshops are open to adult survivors of sexual abuse living in Warwick District or Stratford-on-Avon District.

Separate sessions will be available for women and men.
