Looking for a challenge to push your limits, enjoy the outdoors, and support a vital cause? Join us for the Pit2Park Run at Gedling Country Park and take on a 3-mile route through stunning countryside, all while raising funds to support survivors of sexual abuse.
This is a new route. It is not the Gedling Country Park, Park Run route. This route will be a variation from the Junior Park Run and the Adult Park Run with an “additional twist”.
Whether you’re a seasoned runner, casual jogger, or prefer a scenic walk, this event is for everyone! Go at your own pace, soak in the breathtaking views, and experience the camaraderie of a community coming together for a great cause.
Gedling Country Park is a beautiful natural area filled with trails for biking & hiking, a play structure, viewing platforms & a cafe. The 3-mile route for Park2Pit 2025 is brand-new and created by Safeline Supporter Joshua Davies.

Start time: 12pm (participants eppected to arrive for approximately 11:30am to collect race numbers)
Location: Gedling Country Park, Spring Lane, Mapperley, NG4 4PE

I’m incredibly excited to welcome you to the first ever Pit2Park event this Sunday, 27th July! We’re really looking forward to seeing you all at Gedling Country Park.
Here are some important details to ensure you have a smooth and enjoyable race day:
Race Day Schedule:
Registration Opens: 11:30 AM
Warm-up: 11:50 AM
Race Start: 12:00 PM (Noon)
Race Details:
Distance of race: 3 Miles
Location: Gedling Country Park (381 Spring Lane, Nottingham NG4 4PE)
Onsite Parking: There is parking onsite however this is chargeable at £2.00 until 6pm. Please don’t forget to pay for parking, you can pay by cash at the meters or via the “RingGo” app and using location code “58017” an admin fee of 20p will be added if you decide to pay via the app.
Race Start Point: The race will start up the hill to the right of the onsite Cafe (Cafe 1899) and is also the same start point as the weekly 5km parkrun (Registration will also be by the start point)
Bag Drop: Please note that there will be no dedicated bag drop-off facility. We kindly ask you to leave any valuables in your vehicle.
About Safeline:
All profits from the event are going to Safeline towards their services supporting survivors of sexual abuse and preventing its occurrence. Since 1994, they have helped over 140,000 people through counselling, specialist helplines, independent sexual violence advocacy, and prevention work. Nationally, they provide the Male Survivors Helpline (for anyone who identifies as male and those supporting them); and a Telephone and Online Counselling service for child sexual abuse survivors aged 16+.
