A man will serve 11 years for sexually assaulting three women last year. Safeline supported one of these victims seek justice.
Following a Warwickshire Police investigation, a man has been sentenced for sexually assaulting three women in Leamington last year.
Emmanual Atugo, 29, has been jailed for 11 years after sexually assaulting a woman in his car, another in her home, and a third at his own house. He was found guilty of five counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual assault by penetration. Atugo will also serve four years on license after his release and be on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
Ellie, an Independent Sexual Violence Advocate (ISVA) at Safeline, supported one of the victims. She said: “Working in partnership with the investigating officer, DC Stewart, was a really positive experience for the victim and the ISVA. Her compassion, clear communication, and commitment made a real difference.
“Together, we helped ensure the victim felt heard, supported, and empowered throughout the investigation and court process. Ultimately, to see justice done.”
