Sexual assaults sees Birmingham man jailed for 2.5 years

A Birmingham man has been jailed after being found guilty of two counts of sexual assault.

A Birmingham man has been jailed after being found guilty of two counts of sexual assault against an 18-year old. Paul Badley was doing agency work as a housing officer on a temporary basis at Rugby Borough Council when he met the woman. She contacted Warwickshire Police in June 2023 after he had kissed her and lifted her top without consent, kissing her on the chest. Badley was arrested two days later and charged in mid-August 2025.

One of our Independent Sexual Violence Advocates supported the woman through the criminal justice process. She showed immense courage throughout and our ISVA team are proud of her dedication and resilience. We wanted her to know she was never alone seeking justice.
