Cora-Laine Moynihan

Trustee

At 13, Cora-Laine was referred to Safeline, where she began to discover her identity beyond her trauma. Since then, she has dedicated herself to ensuring that other young people can access the support they desperately need. Achieving this goal through fundraising, awareness campaigns, and even direct support.

For nearly 10 years, Cora-Laine has been a passionate advocate for Safeline and its essential services. She has served as a Peer Mentor, Student Ambassador, and now Trustee. Alongside her role as Trustee, she is also a Development Co-Ordinator at the charity.

In addition to her work with Safeline, Cora-Laine has extensive experience in broadcast and print journalism, local politics, and technical writing.

In 2019, she won the Diana Legacy Award, the highest accolade a young person can receive for their humanitarian work. Cora-Laine was 1 of 20 young people worldwide recognised that year.

“Safeline is a hidden gem that I hope more and more survivors are able to find and gain support from.”
