Colin Walker
Head of Safeguarding
Colin is a sexual abuse prevention and investigation specialist highly experienced in all aspects of safeguarding.
Currently Head of Safeguarding at Safeline, Colin was for the past 12 years Head of Prevention and Early Intervention, where he created, developed and delivered effective preventative interventions, providing trauma informed training to young people , adults and professionals.
Prior to joining Safeline, Colin served as a Police Detective for 25 years and specialised in the investigation of the most serious crimes including rape and serious sexual offences.
Highly commended for his investigative ability, Colin has also performed the role of Independent Sexual Violence Advocate supporting survivors of sexual abuse through the justice system.
Regarding the new legislation, Colin commented:

Jenny has an LLM (Masters of Law) in International Human Rights Law, achieved with distinction.
She has first-hand experience working with victims of sexual abuse and harassment, equipping her with both the legal expertise and the trauma–informed perspective necessary to deliver this training in a manner that is both sensitive and in line with current legislation.
Jenny’s legal background enables her to explain relevant laws, policies and employer obligations, while her experience working with survivors ensures that the training is sensitive, victim focused and helps implements a safe workplace culture.
