Head of Safeguarding Colin Walker and Prevention & Early Intervention Co-ordinator Jenny Cooke attended Wrigleys Solicitors’ Employment Law Conference. There, they delivered a vital session on preventing sexual harassment in the workplace.

This timely discussion focused on the new obligations introduced by the Worker Protection Act, which came into effect on 26 October 2024. The Act places a legal duty on UK employers to take “reasonable steps” to prevent sexual harassment in their workplaces.

Our speakers explored how employers can move beyond compliance and implement proactive strategies that prioritise the wellbeing of every employee. Rather than waiting to respond to incidents, they emphasised the importance of fostering workplace cultures rooted in respect, transparency, and accountability.

The event welcomed professionals from across legal, HR, and corporate sectors. We’re grateful to everyone who attended our session. Safeline remains committed to supporting organisations in building safer, more inclusive environments free from harassment and abuse.

Thank you to Wrigleys Solicitors for inviting us to be part of this essential conversation.
